Levonorgestrel, the active ingredient in Plan B One-Step, My Way, Next Choice One Dose, Opcicon® One-Step, is intended to prevent pregnancy after possible or confirmed contraceptive failure or unprotected sexual intercourse.
Levonorgestrel will not work if you are already pregnant and will not end an existing pregnancy.
Levonorgestrel does not protect against HIV or any other sexually transmitted diseases or infections.
Side effects may include nausea or vomiting, lower abdominal pain, breast pain, tiredness, headache, dizziness, and changes in your menstrual period.
You may be pregnant if your period is more than a week late.
Do not take Levonorgestrel if you are already pregnant.
Do not take if you are allergic to Levonorgestrel.
Levonorgestrel is not recommended as routine birth control.
If you experience severe abdominal pain, you many have an ectopic pregnancy and should get immediate medical attention.
